Three Tassie Instagramers I Follow

October 24, 2016
With the continued rise of Instagram and photos that can capture moments and emotion, these are but three accounts I often visit when in need of some inspiration.

Beyond the realm of websites and graphic design, it's not really a secret that I love getting out and about with the camera in hand. Having stepped up a little from shooting everything with the fixed lens of a GoPro, it's been challenging and rewarding the explore both nature and human life with the DSLR and its array of lenses and opportunities.

Internationally, there's no shortage of amazing and 'moody-gram' photography. But what is refreshing to know is that, one doesn't need to look further than our own backyard to see inspired photography and the Tasmanian experience captured behind the lenses of three creative individuals.

Three Tassie Instagramers I Follow

I hope they don't mind me sharing, however Simon, Jack and Lauren (only one of whom I've met) are incredible. Simon, behind @mclainemedia, has been on a very good thing for a while now. His range of sports, nature and travel based snaps are so good. What I truly enjoy though is that, his account goes beyond quality photography. Each snap is a carefully considered but at the same time a relaxed insight into his journey, mindset and travels. To top it off, he is a great guy.

I think of Lauren and Jack as the local Alexis Ren and Jay Alvarez, both of whom seem like incredibly creative and humble people. The eye behind the lens of both of them is amazing. Often embarking on adventures together, I always enjoy the different take and outcome that slides into my Instagram feed following these explorations.

I highly encourage you to give these guys a follow, to insert a moment of beauty in between the selfies and quotes that litter social media these days.
